A spiced ground pork and ham hock spread served on buttered toasts.

Ingredients

  • 2 1/2 lb Pork Roast
  • 6 ham hocks
  • 1 large onion
  • Salt/Pepper
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp allspice
  • 1/2 cloves
  • 1/4 tsp garlic salt or powder

Steps

  1. In a large pot cook pork roast and ham hocks with onion; season with salt and pepper.
  2. Grind meat in a meat grinder.
  3. Put meat back with juice in pot to cook.
  4. Add cinnamon, allspice, cloves, garlic powder.
  5. Bring to boil, simmer and cook until thick.
  6. When finished, spread in cake pan to cool.
  7. Cool in fridge.
  8. Cut into squares, wrap and freeze.
  9. Serve on buttered toasts.

  • Good as an appetizer.
  • Also good for breakfast and brunch.
