A classic moist banana bread with optional walnuts.
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup butter or margarine
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup firmly packed brown sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 1/2 cups flour
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 tsp soda
- 1 cup mashed banana (about 3)
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup nuts (optional)
Steps
- In a large bowl mix butter, sugar and eggs together, set aside.
- Sift dry ingredients.
- Mix dry ingredients alternately with butter mixture.
- Add mashed banana, sour cream and vanilla.
- Stir in nuts.
- Mix well and pour into a 9x5x3 inch loaf pan (spray with Pam).
- Bake at 350 degrees for 45 to 50 minutes or till done.
