Soft sesame-topped dinner rolls made with instant potatoes and powdered milk.

Ingredients

  • 2 c. warm water (steaming)
  • 1/2 c powdered milk
  • 1/2 c instant potatoes
  • 1/2 c sugar
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 3/4 stick oleo (blue bonnet)
  • 3 eggs (throw away some of the whites)
  • 2 pkg dry yeast
  • Up to 6 cups flour
  • Sesame seeds

Glaze:

  • Beaten egg

Steps

  1. Heat together water and milk.
  2. Add instant potatoes, sugar, salt and melted oleo.
  3. Add eggs and dry yeast.
  4. Add enough flour to make a firm dough.
  5. Turn out upon floured counter and knead a few minutes.
  6. Let rise till doubled; punch down.
  7. Make into balls and place in a greased 9x13 pan.
  8. Brush rolls with beaten egg and sprinkle with sesame seeds.
  9. Bake 375 till golden brown.
