Soft sesame-topped dinner rolls made with instant potatoes and powdered milk.
Ingredients
- 2 c. warm water (steaming)
- 1/2 c powdered milk
- 1/2 c instant potatoes
- 1/2 c sugar
- 2 tsp salt
- 3/4 stick oleo (blue bonnet)
- 3 eggs (throw away some of the whites)
- 2 pkg dry yeast
- Up to 6 cups flour
- Sesame seeds
Glaze:
- Beaten egg
Steps
- Heat together water and milk.
- Add instant potatoes, sugar, salt and melted oleo.
- Add eggs and dry yeast.
- Add enough flour to make a firm dough.
- Turn out upon floured counter and knead a few minutes.
- Let rise till doubled; punch down.
- Make into balls and place in a greased 9x13 pan.
- Brush rolls with beaten egg and sprinkle with sesame seeds.
- Bake 375 till golden brown.
