An overnight sausage and egg casserole with croutons, cheddar, and mushroom soup.

Ingredients

  • 1 box cheese & garlic croutons
  • 3 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 2 1/2 cups milk
  • 1 lb sausage
  • 9 eggs
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • salt and pepper to taste

Steps

  1. Prepare 9 x 13 casserole dish.
  2. Brown sausage.
  3. Mix eggs with 2 cups milk, salt and pepper to taste.
  4. Mix soup with 1/2 cup milk.
  5. Layer croutons on bottom of dish.
  6. Top with the cooked sausage.
  7. Pour eggs and milk over sausage and croutons.
  8. Top with 2 cups of cheese.
  9. Spread soup mixture over all.
  10. Sprinkle remaining cheese on top.
  11. Refrigerate overnight.
  12. Bake covered 325 degrees for 1 to 1 1/2 hrs.
  13. Uncover, bake an additional 10-15 min.
