An overnight sausage and egg casserole with croutons, cheddar, and mushroom soup.
Ingredients
- 1 box cheese & garlic croutons
- 3 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 2 1/2 cups milk
- 1 lb sausage
- 9 eggs
- 1 can cream of mushroom soup
- salt and pepper to taste
Steps
- Prepare 9 x 13 casserole dish.
- Brown sausage.
- Mix eggs with 2 cups milk, salt and pepper to taste.
- Mix soup with 1/2 cup milk.
- Layer croutons on bottom of dish.
- Top with the cooked sausage.
- Pour eggs and milk over sausage and croutons.
- Top with 2 cups of cheese.
- Spread soup mixture over all.
- Sprinkle remaining cheese on top.
- Refrigerate overnight.
- Bake covered 325 degrees for 1 to 1 1/2 hrs.
- Uncover, bake an additional 10-15 min.
