Crunchy baked granola with oats, wheat germ, coconut, and peanut butter.

Ingredients

  • 2 1/2 cups old fashioned oatmeal
  • 1/4 cup wheat germ
  • 1/2 cup coconut (may omit)
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla
  • 1/3 cup chunky peanut butter
  • 3/4 cup raisins, dates, or craisins (optional)

Steps

  1. Mix together oatmeal, wheat germ and coconut.
  2. Heat together oil, honey, vanilla, then add peanut butter.
  3. Stir peanut butter mixture into dry oatmeal mixture.
  4. Add raisins, dates, or craisins if desired.
  5. Spread on cookie sheets with sides.
  6. Bake 225 degrees for 1 hr stirring every 15 min.
