A lightly sweetened sour cream and whipping cream sauce for apple strudel.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup (4 oz) sour cream
  • 1/2 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 2 tsp powdered sugar
  • 1/8 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/8 tsp salt

Steps

  1. Mix together sour cream and whipping cream.
  2. Let set on counter for 1 1/2 hr till thick like yogurt.
  3. Sweeten with powder sugar, keep a bit sour to counter the sweetness of the apple strudel.
  4. Flavor with small amount vanilla extract and add salt if need be.
