A lightly sweetened sour cream and whipping cream sauce for apple strudel.
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup (4 oz) sour cream
- 1/2 cup heavy whipping cream
- 2 tsp powdered sugar
- 1/8 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/8 tsp salt
Steps
- Mix together sour cream and whipping cream.
- Let set on counter for 1 1/2 hr till thick like yogurt.
- Sweeten with powder sugar, keep a bit sour to counter the sweetness of the apple strudel.
- Flavor with small amount vanilla extract and add salt if need be.
