A layered pumpkin dessert with a pecan crust, cream cheese layer, and pumpkin pudding.

Ingredients

  • 1 lg can pumpkin (3 1/2 cups)
  • 3 slightly beaten eggs
  • 1 can evaporated milk
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp ginger
  • 1 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tsp nutmeg
  • 1 yellow or white cake mix
  • 1 stick (1/2 cup) butter, melted
  • Nuts, optional

Steps

  1. Combine pumpkin through nutmeg and pour into a 9 x 13 greased pan.
  2. Top with dry cake mix.
  3. Pour melted butter/margarine over cake mix.
  4. May top with chopped nuts.
  5. Bake 350 degrees for 1 hr.
  6. Chill and top with whipped cream.
