A fresh strawberry pie with a jello glaze in a baked pie shell.
Ingredients
- 1-10" pie shell, baked
Filling:
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1 1/3 cup Cool Whip
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 2 cups fresh strawberries
Glaze:
- 1 cup water
- 1 cup sugar
- 3 tbsp strawberry jello
- 3 tbsp corn starch
Steps
- Combine filling ingredients and pour into pie shell.
- Top with fresh berries.
- Make the glaze by bringing water to boil and adding sugar, jello and cornstarch.
- Bring to boil for 1 min and let cool.
- Pour cooled glaze over the berries and chill.
Notes
- Can use sugar-free jello and omit sugar. This makes a lot of glaze so you could halve it.
- Can substitute any berries with any type of jello, such as raspberries or blackberries.
