Classic rolled and cut sugar cookies for decorating.

Ingredients

• 2/3 cup shortening
• 3/4 cup sugar
• 1 tsp. vanilla
• 1 egg
• 2 cup flour
• 1/4 tsp salt
• 1 1/2 tsp Baking soda

Steps

1. Cream sugar with shortening.
2. Add wet ingredients, then dry ingredients.
3. Form into 2 balls and refrigerate 1 hour.
4. Roll out and use cookie cutter for shaping.
5. Bake 375 degrees for 8-10 minutes.
