Homemade vanilla bean ice cream churned in an ice cream maker.
Ingredients
- 1 cup milk
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 3 egg yolks beaten
- 2 cups chilled whipping cream
- 1 Tbsp. vanilla
Steps
- Mix together milk, sugar, salt and egg yolks.
- Cook in a sauce pan over medium heat stirring constantly until bubbles form around the edges.
- Cool to room temperature.
- Add whipping cream and vanilla.
- Pour into ice cream maker and freeze.
