A layered bread and egg casserole with green chiles and cheese.
Ingredients
- 4-6 flour tortillas, torn in half
- 4 cups cheese, Monterey Jack
- 2 cans green chilies, diced
- 5 eggs, beaten
- 1 cup milk
Steps
- In a greased 9x13 casserole pan, place one layer of tortillas, then add cheese and chilies (and any options).
- Repeat layers ending with cheese.
- Combine eggs and milk and pour over everything.
- Let set 30 min or overnight.
- Bake 350 degrees for 45 min-1hr.
Notes
- Optional additions: diced cooked chicken/turkey, black olives, caramelized onions.
