A Dijon-based balsamic and red wine vinaigrette with optional fennel seed.
Ingredients
- 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
- 1/4 c Balsamic vinegar
- 2 tbsp red wine vinegar
- 1/4 cup water
- 2 tsp sugar
- 1/2 cup extra virgin olive oil
- 1/4 cup canola oil
- 2 tsp salt
- 1 tsp coarsely ground pepper
- Optional: 1 tsp fennel seed, smashed
Steps
- Combine mustard, vinegars, water and sugar.
- Gradually whisk in oils till emulsified.
- Add salt, pepper and optional fennel.
- Refrigerate.
