Whipped potatoes with butter, cream cheese, and sour cream — perfect for a crowd.

Ingredients

  • 4-5 pounds potatoes (peeled and quartered)
  • 1 stick butter
  • 1 package cream cheese
  • 2 small containers of sour cream (8 oz.)
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Steps

  1. Boil potatoes in salted water until soft (20-30 minutes).
  2. Drain potatoes well.
  3. Add butter and cream cheese, recover potatoes in saucepan for 5 minutes allowing butter to melt and cheese to soften.
  4. Whip potatoes with beater adding sour cream until right consistency.
  5. Salt and pepper to taste.
  6. Serve in a bowl and dot with butter.
