Wild duck braised in orange juice, soy sauce, and ginger.
Ingredients
- 1 — 2 lb duck or 4 teal ducks
- 2 oranges
- 1/2 teaspoon thyme
- 1/4 cup red wine
- Salt & Pepper to taste
Steps
- Grill (gas or charcoal) duck to brown skin.
- Put duck into baking bag.
- Squeeze 1 orange over duck and put into cavity of duck.
- Slice other orange.
- Pour wine over duck.
- Sprinkle duck with thyme.
- Place orange slices over the duck.
- Bake in oven at 350 degrees until duck is tender (approximately 2 hours) or cook in crock pot until tender (approximately 5 hours on low).
Notes
- Can broil duck instead of grilling to brown skin.
